Instructions for Food Safety Reporting in the CASPAR System
Click on Extension POW. Click on Reporting. Click on Team and/or Individual Reports.
Issue Impact
Click on Issue Impacts. Scroll down to the Impacts block. In this block you will see a list of Indicators Selected in your Action Plan. Across from each indicator is a block. When following directions on how to analyze the indicators (attachment), you will be able to use the numbers you obtain after analyzing the indicator to place in the blocks for each indicator selected for each action plan. For example, if you developed action plans for ServSafe, Cooking for Crowds, Consumer Food Safety, Elementary School students, you developed four action plans. You will have to provide a number in the block for each indicator you selected for each of the four plans. Remember to always scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Impacts.Impact Narrative
You have a choice on how to write your impact narrative.
1. You can highlight one or two programs, i.e. ServSafe and Home Food Preservation OR
2. You can choice several indicators from several (or all of your) programs and report on these indicators that you feel show a significant impact of your food safety programming.Click on Extension POW. Click on Reporting. Click on Impact Narrative. Click on Add New Impact.
Impact Title – you will determine this
Problem/Opportunity Statement block (see link below Indicators)
There are sample problem/opportunity statements that you can cut and paste into the block for the several programs (attachment). Feel free to add additional information you believe is appropriate. The programs in which statements have been developed include:
a. Food Safety Certification – ServSafe and SuperSafe Mark
b. Front-line Food Safety Training
c. Cooking for Crowds
d. Home Food Preservations
e. Hunter Food Safety
f. Food Safety for ConsumersDescription block
You will need to complete this black for your narrative as it relates to what you are highlighting. Report the following information in the description block:
a) Program Name(s)
b) Objective(s) of the programs
c) Counties and locations, if outside the extension office, in which programs were held
d) Target Audience and number of participants involved
If applicable, identify:
e) Underrepresented audiences served (Chinese, Hispanic, etc.)
f) Partners involved in the program
g) Grants that supported the effort
h) Other information you feel is importantImpact block
You can use the impact narratives that have been developed for each indicator (attachment). After you analyze the evaluation question, you can place your numbers and percentages from your programs in the Example Impact Narrative for the indicators you are evaluating. You can then cut and paste this impact narrative statement into the Impact block. Complete the remaining information that is requested. Remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Impact.
